Creeks Citizens Advisory Committee
In November 2000, when the City’s Creeks Division was formally established, the City Council also established a Citizens Advisory Committee. The City Council appointed citizens to the Creeks Advisory Committee to advise Creeks staff and City Council on matters related to the Creeks Restoration and Water Quality Improvement Division. The Committee provides a public forum for consultation and discussion of Creeks Division objectives, projects, and programs.
The Advisory Committee consists of seven voting members. The Committee is composed of at least one member from the hotel/lodging industry and at least one member with experience in environmental/land use issues. The remaining five members have experience in ocean use, business, environmental issues, and/or provide community-at-large representation. The in-depth and varied knowledge of these individuals forms a highly valuable collective body of expertise and experience.
